V Walton is a Maryland-US based interdisciplinary artist and educator whose work explores Black queer embodiment, ecology, and disability. Through sculpture, installation, video and performance, their practice brings a material perspective to questions of autonomy, care, and environmental stewardship. Their work illustrates the societal and interpersonal dynamics that build and break us down simultaneously, making multi-layered connections between clay [terra], nature, and the body. They received their MFA in Ceramic Art from New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University and their BFA with a concentration in ceramics from Towson University. Walton currently teaches ceramic art at Maryland Institute College of Art and Morgan State University. (they/she/he pronouns)
